Dani Ceballos has hit back at Diego Simeone for his recent criticism of Real Madrid.
Simeone directed his criticism at his rivals after their Copa del Rey victory over Celta Vigo in midweek as the La Liga title races heat up.
Real Madrid's passage to the quarter-finals came via a controversial goal against the Galicians and Simeone fanned the flames of the conspiracy.
The Argentine hinted that favorable decisions have been made for Real Madrid for 'a hundred years' and Ceballos has fired back.
The Spain international was referring to the two UEFA Champions League finals that Atletico Madrid lost to their city rivals during his tenure – something that Ceballos says still concerns Simeone.
“He has not recovered from the two finals he lost to Real Madrid,” DAZN said via Marca.
Ceballos was handed a rare league start in Real Madrid's 4-1 home win over Las Palmas in the Spanish capital and indicated his intention is to remain at the club beyond the winter transfer window.
