Dani Olmo camp “nervous” as Barcelona registration deadline looms

Tuesday is D-Day for Barcelona in their bid to ensure Dani Olmo and Pau Victor can play for them in the second half of the season. Both players will see their registrations expire at midnight on January 1, so if they are not renewed before then, Hansi Flick will not be able to call on them.

Barcelona are working desperately to find a solution after their attempt to secure a precautionary measure failed on Monday. Olmo trained with his teammates on Tuesday morning, but his entourage is said to be very nervous about the current situation, Diario AS reports.

If Barcelona do not register Olmo, he will be allowed to leave the club for free, according to a clause in his contract. This has alarmed several clubs, although the Catalans are still confident they will have the Spanish midfielder at their disposal for the second half of the season.
