Barcelona star Dani Olmo remains absent from their squad ahead of this weekend's La Liga match with Valencia.
La Blaurgana will be aiming to boost their title hopes in the coming days as the relegation battle against Valencia arrives in Catalonia.
Thanks to a wild 5-4 victory in the UEFA Champions League away to Benfica, Barcelona have now secured an automatic place in the last 16 knockouts, as a key box ticked in Europe.
This will now allow Hansi Flick to rest and rotate players for the final league match at home against Atalanta on January 29.
According to the latest update from Mundo Deportivo, Olmo did not take part in Barcelona's final team training ahead of the match, and he will not be in danger against Los Che.
Flick is open to his availability to play against Atalanta or Alaves in the league next weekend as he recovers from a calf problem during a separate gym programme.
The bigger focus could be on a Copa del Rey quarter-final, also against Valencia, on February 6.
Olmo's lack of fitness means Flick has an unchanged squad picture ahead of the match, while defender Inigo Martinez is still out.
After a chaotic evening in Lisbon, the former Bayern Munich boss is expected to freshen things up, with Inaki Pena bringing some change.
Flick has indicated his plan is to start Pena in a competitive setting, with Woiciech Szczesny the chosen option in the Champions League.
However, with the Polish veteran awarded a penalty against Benfica, in addition to a shout-out for one of the home side's goals, that decision could be changed.
Frenkie de Jong is also pushing for a first league start since November when either Gavi or Marc Casado are rested, with the latter starting 15 of the 20 league games so far in 2024/25.
