La Liga and the Spanish Football Federation have rejected Barcelona's latest request to register Dani Olmo, meaning he can terminate his contract if he wishes. The Catalan giants are still confident they will find a positive solution, even as things appear to be looking increasingly bleak.
In recent days it has been reported that Olmo would be entitled to his full salary for the six years of his contract if a mutual termination was agreed. However, MD says that this is not the case and that he would receive nothing upon departure.
This would be a small crumb of comfort for Barcelona as they would save that money. However, they would still have to pay out the outstanding money from last summer's deal to RB Leipzig. However, they will be hopeful that none of this will materialize as they focus on Olmo's (and Pau Victor's) registration.
