Daniel Cormier says that Khadzhimurat would have defeated Gatssalov Jon Jones
At the Olympic Games of Athens 2004, Daniel Cormier Team USA was struggling in Freestyle Wrestling, making him all the way to the semi -final, where he met the terrifying Khadzhimurat Gatssalov.

Now Cormier says that the Russian would have taken over the sport.
In an interview about the Joe Rogan experience, he explained: “There was a man who defeated me in the semi-final of the Olympic Games, his name was Khadzhimurat Gatsalov. We were lucky that the son of Ab- did not fight because he would have defeated everyone and Jon Jones.
“He hit me, he hit me, Cael Sanderson, Kyle Snyder, this guy was so fast.
“I brought him in to train with me for Jon Jones. My power coach told me he was trying to break him; [he said] “Whatever I did, he never stopped, he never got tired and he always wanted to do more.” That is why the guy is a 6x world champion.
“He was the best. We are just lucky that he did not moistened because we would all have no performance.”
