Daniel Cormier is enthusiastic about the UFC debut of Aaron Pico
Former Bellator -Aaron Pico will make his UFC debut against Lerone Murphy this weekend.
The 28-year-old was a teenager miracle in boxing and struggling before making his MMA debut in June 2017.
Cormier believes that Pico would have reached the top if he had stayed with his wrestling.
The 13-4 MMA star was about to make the American Olympic team when he was still in school.
“Aaron Pico, if this man did not fought now, I believe he would be Olympic champion,” said Cormier during the UFC 319-way show.
“Struggled in the final of the Olympic tests as a high school child. Lost in the final.
“It is incredible what he did as a athlete. This man has a lot of potential.”
Aaron Pico Van Streek Alexander Volkanovski
Aaron Pico has put herself in the spring champion of the UFC -Fedweight champion for his debut.
Earlier this week, the UFC 319 newcomer asked a rare representation of Trash Talk by Alexander Volkanovski.
Pico supported himself to beat Volkanovski, who gave a ruthless response to the brave fighting prediction.
“You have to think so. That's fine,” he said. “Everyone has the chance of a puncher.
“He is an all-American wrestler, but I will now tell you, what is the bet if we were struggling, I would embarrass him there. Many people want to be from:” I did this, I did that, “as if I didn't confront them with them in the gym. I really kept very much harder than him, and I trust myself.
“He must have that confidence, right?” Volkanovski continued. “I'm not really going to take it seriously until he goes and show me something. You have done things in your other promotions … Come here, do it here, and okay, I'll look at it more.
“He only has the chance of a puncher, I will leave it at that … I think I would be honest – it fascinates me because I think I would crumble him in the wrestling department … I mop the floor with him.”
