Daniel Cormier reveals the only fight that would make him support Jon Jones… ‘I would cheer so hard for him’

Despite their bitter and legendary UFC rivement, there is one scenario that Daniel Cormier would see in the corner of Jon Jones.

It is safe to say that not many have had a feud as a feud on the largest stage in MMA as former two -division champions Cormier and Jones.

The hostility between the couple reached memorable bonds field prior to their planned collision at UFC 178 in 2014, when Cormier and Jones hedges at a news conference to promote their light heavyweight title fight.

Two fights did little to establish their resentment, especially with the several failed drug tests of the Rochester in mind. And even to this day, despite 'DC' who commented on Jones's recent fights, the couple still go back and forth occasionally.

But although they will not quickly exchange Christmas cards, there is one situation that Cormier would have actively supported his archenemy.

Daniel Cormier would support Jon Jones at the UFC White House event of Donald Trump

President Donald Trump of the United States recently announced a UFC Witte Huis event, planned as part of next year's 4 July.

Since then, the possible names have surrounded that such a showcase could head, especially with Kayla Harrison who marks the only current American champion and the top 10 of the Herenpond-for-Pond list of zero Americans.

'DC' would like to see that a countryman has lifted his hand to celebrate the 250th anniversary of the signing of the declaration of independence, so much so that he would even cheer Jones if he would retire for the big event.

“(It needs a bad, bad American who is going to win,” Cormier said. “It hurts me to say, if we have to send a bad American to get the job done … Call Jon Jones.

“I would cheer so hard for him! I would cheer in the White House so loudly for him. I know you are always saying that I am hard for Jones, if we have to send an American hunter to the White House to get a Dub -Dub, man, Jon Jones there.

“I call him to ask him,” Cormier added. “I love Colby (Covington), I love Michael (Chandler) … If we have to do an American guy, man, you can better put Jon Jones to get a dub as a country.”

Jon Jones claims to be back in the 'Testpool' after interest in a fight of the White House

It was not long before Jones spoke about fighting on the Witte Huis lawn itself.

In a post on X, Jones joined Conor McGregor as a different prominent, inactive hunter who shows interest to compete outside one of the world's most famous buildings.

“Fighting in the White House? (Eyes emoji)”

And he suggested that the wheels were already moving in a follow -up post.

“I just reintroduced the test pool, which lasted about two weeks. I thought we would keep everyone's options open.”

For the time being Tom Aspinall will have his sights on the current harvest of heavyweight contenders while his undisputed government is starting.

But if he still holds the title in 2026, he might be instructed to block Trump's plan for a victory in the American championship in the White House.
