The dust starts to settle a few weeks ago on the shock pension of Jon Jones of the UFC.
After a huge heavyweight Saga that lasted a few months, UFC boss Dana White revealed a few weeks ago that Jon Jones officially retired from the UFC.
And with that, former interim -greatweight champion Tom Aspinall was upgraded to the undisputed champion of the division, after missing a fight against 'Bones'.
Although Jones's pension came as a shock due to the fact that it was announced after the first event of the UFC in Baku, it seemed almost inevitable after the entire Saga.

Daniel Cormier believes that the UFC was frustrated by Jon Jones
During his career, the greatest rival of Jones ever Daniel Cormier and the two were involved in one of the greatest rivalry in the history of sport.
Initially, Cormier was critical of Jones's retirement and claimed that he was a “cut” because of the fact that he did not fight the British.
Nevertheless, he quickly changed his tune and surprisingly gave his biggest rival ever to what an incredible career was.
However, now a few weeks away from the 37-year-old pension, Cormier has claimed that the UFC must have been frustrated about him because of how quickly they removed him from the schedule.
“It is also so strange because they actually removed Jon Jones from the schedule, that was fast! Normally you left them hanging. They just have to be frustrated, they must have been super frustrated, because how often does someone still sit on the schedule after they say:” I'm done. “
“I think there is some frustration. Well, they have announced that Jon retired in Baku, only at a press conference after the fight and it was not even the first to come from Dana's mouth … There might be some frustration there.”
Dana White denies Jones's claim that he retired in 2024
After the official pension of Jones, he came out with a storm of posts on social media and claimed that he told the UFC about his pension in 2024.
During the UFC 317 after the press conference after the fight, Dana White denied the claim of Jones and he stated that he was 'not true'.
