Daniel Cormier does not expect the UFC to be forced to grant the requirement of Justin Gaethje's title shot, even if this means that he loses him completely.
The debate is underway with regard to who will first challenge Ilia Topuria after he reached two-division glory on UFC 317. Topuria has eliminated Charles Oliveira to follow his brief vent of featherweight with an immediate crown in lightweight.
Three candidates appear in the race for the first defense of the Spaniard on 155 pounds: Arman Tsarukyan, Paddy Pimblett and Gaethje. And when Topuria was confronted in the Octagon opposite Pimblett, the chances of 'The Baddy' the nods were considered considerably.
If that is the case, fans may have seen the last of the most exciting hunter in the UFC. Gaethje has threatened to retire when he is split off, but when he expects such an attitude to convince the UFC, a legend says he might have something else.

Daniel Cormier says that Justin Gaethje would 'suck', but UFC will not be forced to give him a title shot
During a video that was recently uploaded to his YouTube channel, Daniel Cormier responded to Gaethje's latest comments about his status as one of the three fighting for the first recording on the newly crowned lightweight king.
'DC' believes 'the highlight' is serious when he says that he is withdrawing about fighting someone like Pimblett in a title eliminator, and that is concerned about the former Tweedivisie champion seeing how he believes that the UFC could respond to such an ultimatum.
“It sounds like Justin Gaethje for me, as he said before,” Hey, title fight or retirement, “it sounds like he is more than willing to stand there,” Cormier said.
“That would be bad. MMA is better when Justin Gaethje Vecht. We just had to see Dustin Poirier retiring last weekend and that was absolutely bad.
“Justin seems very, very strict in the idea that if he has to fight Paddy Pimblett … he won't do it,” Cormier continued. “That is crazy because I don't know that it will let the UFC say:” We must give Justin Gaethje a title fight. “
“I don't know they are going to do that, especially if you go through all the things … that Arman has a business, Paddy has a business.”
Justin Gaethje reveals his dream UFC scenario
The will of Cormier Fear Gaethje gets his wish and does not call time on his career, but 'the highlight' still insists that his dream ends to flourish for a more suitable conclusion for his MMA official period.
While he spoke with ESPN MMA, Gaethje explained his best-case scenario, and mentioned the intended matchup he would like for his pension fight after the non-sitting Topuria later this year.
“I defeated Topuria this year, defend it against Holloway on the Witte House Law and stop calling the BMF and the Championship.”
Gaethje will now be aimed at convincing the UFC that he must first stand in line to challenge 'El Matador'.
