Daniel Cormier’s first-round pick on The Ultimate Fighter announces ‘more than likely’ retirement due to financial constraints

Daniel Cormier first coached the Ultimate Fighter in 2018 where each participant had an undefeated record.

Cormier is back to coach against Chael Sonnen in the 33rd season, with both men having earlier experience with the reality show.

Team Sonnen went against Team Jon Jones on season 17, while 'DC' collided with Stipe Miocic for the first of their three meetings on UFC 226.

'The Ultimate Fighter: undefeated' (season 27) was ultimately relatively successful in terms of the level of talent for which it could offer a platform.

The competitor who was Cormier's first selection to become a member of his team, however, has now suggested that his career came early because of his current financial situation.

Tyler Diamond says he does not have 'the desire to fight for money' in pension post

Tyler Diamond stated on Instagram that his MMA career probably participated 18 times as a professional because he does not believe that competing is worth the financial reward.

After Daniel Cormier won the Coin Flip at the start of season 27, the American became the first round of the light heavyweight champion, largely because of his wrestling background.

Diamond was eliminated from the series in the semi -final and fights once at the final before he started competing in the PFL six times.

“More than probably you have seen me compete for the last time,” he wrote on social media.

“I am now in the prime of my life and I feel the best that I have ever been, but I just don't have the desire to fight for money.”

Diamond went 3-3 in the PFL and defeated Brett Johns's will with his losses that came to a high-level opposition in Brendan Loughnane, Mlvlid Khaybulaev and Enrique Barzola.

The 34-year-old stated that he is looking forward to exploring what the next step is for him with the team Alpha Male Fighter who looks back without too much regret.

“You cannot always control your own destination and there are many things outside of my control, but in general I am satisfied with what I did in the sport.

“I missed many opportunities in life, so I am excited to see what some of my next steps could be without dictating my life around fighting.

“It was fun. Thank you to everyone who took care of and followed.”

Three alumni of the ultimate hunting season 27 are still in the UFC today

The UFC career of Tyler Diamond ended during the serial final, where he was defeated by the biggest name that appeared in season 27, Bryce Mitchell.

The controversial figure has become a staple of the top 15 of the featherweight division with victories over people like Dan Ige and Edson Barboza.

Team Miocic's Kyler Phillips was eliminated in the first round of the series, but he is now 6-2 in the Octagon with the #12 ranking order next to his name in the Bantamweight Division.

The man who produced the upset against Phillips, Brad Katona, had an incredibly unique journey at the highest level.

After winning season 27, Katona was released from the UFC after back-to-back only to become the first hunter to once won two seasons of the Ultimate Fighter, where Cody Gibson was defeated in the TUF 31 final to go back to the schedule.
