Daniel Rodriguez finds a second wind in his UFC career.
It was not long since the UFC slugger was at a 7-1 point in the UFC Welterweight Division. Rodriguez took impressive victories over star Mike Perry and Kevin Lee before he lost to some of the bigger names on 170 pounds such as Ian Machado Garry.
Daniel Rodriguez returned to the win-column with a decision-making effort about Alex Morono before he was a one-off on Saturday at UFC des Moines.
On the main map, Rodriguez would collide with 19-Vecht UFC veteran Santiago Ponzinibbio in an all-action good weight.
Ponzinibbio, a former top 10 member of the 10th, came from a TKO victory earlier this year, with his momentum crushed by Rodriguez.

Daniel Rodriguez explained Santiago Ponzinibbio with a clean combo
Rodriguez stopped Ponzinibbio almost late in the opening round after he found the timing and chin of his opponent, causing him to be fueled.
Rodriguez laid his foot on the accelerator pedal and chased the finish, but it didn't help. Ponzinibbio remained largely upright and survived an offensive attack.
Round 3 would be a completely different story.
After a back and forth round 2, Rodriguez landed on Ponzibbio at the willing and put a multiple combination together with a left hook to send Ponzibbio back to the canvas.
Ponzinibbio landed a follow-up shot for a good measure on the ground before the referee stopped the match. The Argentinian immediately protested against the interruption and struggled to stay on his feet as soon as he got up.
