Tottenham maintained their winning start to the Premier League season with an excellent 2-0 win over Manchester City.
The first half strikes by Brennan Johnson and Joao Palhinha turned out to be decisive in the Etihad Stadium, because Spurs made the two league winning of two under Thomas Frank.
Johnson closed a slick movement to break the impasse, to shoot home from the cross of Richarlison, for the purpose of destroying a VAR review an offside call.
James Trafford then came in hot water just before the break, with Palhinha on the spot to double the lead of Spurs.
And the Under-Par side of Pep Guardiola, who placed four past wolves last week, could not find a response, closest to this when Rodri went directly to Guglielmo Vicario in the 76th minute, although that was one of the only two shots that they had in the second half on goal.
Trafford requested somewhat for his earlier error with an impressive double salvation to let Spurs deny a third goal, but it was a day to forget for Guardiola.

Data Debrief: Frank corresponds to Mourinho and Conte
After their 4-0 win in the corresponding match last season, Tottenham has now scored at least twice in each of their last five Premier League visits at the Etihad Stadium.
Spurs has also won consecutive league matches against City for the first time since May 2010.
Johnson kept his cool to open the score and became the first Welsh player since Aaron Ramsey in 2014-15 to play in the first two games of a Premier League season.
In the meantime, Frank only became the third manager who defeated Guardiola in the competition with two different clubs, after Jose Mourinho and Antonio Conte.
