Data Debrief: Gunners’ struggles on the road continue

Arsenal had a late goal disallowed as their Premier League winning run ended with a 1-1 draw against Fulham.

Bukayo Saka appeared to have nodded home the winner in the 88th minute of Sunday's match at Craven Cottage.

However, the goal was canceled out after a VAR review – Gabriel Martinelli had strayed from offside before delivering the cross – as Arsenal missed the chance to move within four points of leaders Liverpool, whose match against Everton was canceled on Saturday.

VAR had earlier upheld Arsenal's equalizer, with William Saliba winning a header from Kai Havertz.

Fulham took the lead after eleven minutes, when Raul Jimenez cut in to finish off a quick counter-attack.

When Chelsea played Tottenham later on Sunday, Arsenal moved into second place with 29 points – six more than Fulham in ninth.

Data Debrief: The battle of the gunners on the road continues

Fulham are now unbeaten in their last nine Premier League derbies in London and are the only team to avoid defeat to Arsenal in the league since the start of last season.

The Gunners have now won just one of their last six league games on the road, failing to keep a clean sheet in that period.

Jimenez opened the scoring at Craven Cottage. All five of his goals this season have been firsts of the match, with Dimitar Berbatov (nine in 2012/13) and Clint Dempsey (seven in 2011/12) the only Fulham players to score more openers in a single season.

The home side's lead was canceled out by Saliba's sixth Premier League goal from a set-piece since the start of last season, with teammate Gabriel Magalhaes (10) the only defender to score more such goals in that period.
