Former Premier League referee David Coote has been sued by the FA for his comments about Jurgen Klopp, but no charges have been taken from gambling misconduct.
A video, which does not remain verified, seems to show that Coote -Wanting comments about Liverpool and their former Klopp manager in December 2024 spread on social media on a large scale.
The PGMOL confirmed the termination of Coote's employment and said that a thorough investigation concluded that he “was in serious violation of the provisions of his employment contract, with his position that was deemed untenable”.
The FA has now sued the former remover for the comments, but Coote has been released from accusations of gambling misconduct, something that he always denied vigorously.
