David Moyes admits he has unfinished business in the FA Cup

David Moyes says he has unfinished things in the FA Cup after he has come so close to the end of Everton's Trophy in his first Stint in the club.

The Toffees took the lead with less than a minute on the clock in the final of 2009 via Louis Saha, but eventually lost to Chelsea after goals from Didier Drogba and future manager Frank Lampard.

Moyes also led Everton to Wembley in 2012 for a semi-final and they also continued in that match, against Liverpool, but their city rivals eventually came back to win 2-1.

The boss, who won three of his four games in Everton, said: 'Oh, I would like to go to the cup final. I would really do it. I think Louis scored after 29 seconds and we were talking because I mentioned it in my program -notes, as we scored in 10 seconds last week.

'Everyone wants to win the cup, I don't believe that someone is going out not to win the cup. If we could keep ourselves involved, it would be good. We are not involved in a club. We must start by taking good news back around Everton if we can.

“And I think it would be a good news story to continue to the next round.”

Moyes believes that Everton's players are now entertaining more after the pressure load has been lifted in recent weeks, with the side now nine points free from the relegation zone with a much superior target difference for Leicester in the 18th.

He added: 'The last thing we need here is busy. Players don't need it because they have lived under so much pressure from different things. Even their own supporters said: “No, we don't like this”.

'Suddenly they may feel a little freedom and there is a little bit where they say:' I can breathe here. I don't feel so uncomfortable. “

'But let's be honest: we had a good start, but we still have a long way to go and there will be turbulent seas along the road. We have to work through that. '
