David Moyes breaks silence on Richarlison move after Spurs striker is linked with stunning return to Everton

David Moyes has denied all the suggestions that he would like to bring Richarlison back to Everton this summer.

The 27-year-old spent four years in Goodison Park and scored 53 goals in 152 games, before moving to Tottenham Hotspur in 2022 for £ 60 million.

The International Brazil has been associated with a return to the Toffees, with reports that indicate that Moyes was interested in the attacker, who is left for his contract for another two years.

But Moyes, who is in the club in his second stint, excluded a return for Richarlison.

Speaking at a press conference prior to Everton's trip to Craven Cottage, the 62-year-old said: 'Richarlison is a really good player and someone I liked.

“But I can only tell you that there is zero truth in that side.”

Everton stands for a busy summer for their first season in their new stadium in Bramley-Moore Dock.

There will be 15 players, including Loanese, who have no contract at the end of June.

Midfielder Abdoulaye Doucoure, who has been in Everton since 2020, is a player who could leave.

He revealed that there had been 'no conversations' about a new deal earlier this week.

The 32-year-old Mali International said he would not do wage reduction because he believed that he deserved an improved offer.

Moyes said: 'Some games he played very well, but he is clearly not a spring tip, so we must ensure that we have other replacements when needed.

'We make many decisions behind the scenes. It's good to have so much [players] They want to stay. '

Everton is currently in the 14th, above Europa League finalists Manchester United and Spurs, in the Premier League with three more games left.

Their form has improved dramatically since Moyes returned to the club, to replace Sean Dyche in January.
