Canada and Lille star Jonathan David have unveiled his dream transfer destination in a big blow to Arsenal and other Premier League parties.
David has made a name for himself in Ligue 1 in recent seasons, after he joined Lille in 2020 and scored 107 goals in 224 games and settled as one of the best attackers in the competition.
His shape has put a number of top sides on Red Alert for his services, including Arsenal – who are looking for an attacker – and other Premier League parties this summer.
They have been David's Champions League versions that have raised interest in his services, with the 25-year-old with seven goals in the competition plus two in qualifying to go alongside his 14 competition strikers.
Those impressions, which have left him in the vicinity of the top scorers graphs for the competition next to Raphinha, Erling Haaland and Harry Kane, helped Lille to reach the play-offs against Borussia Dortmund, where they lost 3-2.
Some Premier League parties were interested in a move for David in the summer, where Arsenal thought he was on Red Alert, but he has now unveiled his ideal destination – and it is not England.
Speaking with the hot soccer podcast, the attacker said: 'I think I can adapt to any competition. Every competition has its differences.
'The Premier League is a lot faster and more physically than all other competitions. But for me I grew up watching a lot of Laliga and for me that would be my favorite competition.
“That is the competition that I would like to watch the most, so one day I would like to play there.”
David had previously revealed that he wanted to play for Barcelona in the future.
Although he would have cost a good cent for every party who wants to do business with Lille, his contract with the French club is in the summer, which means that he can agree with any other European side.
That could increase the chance that Barcelona will sign him if they are interested in a move, with the LaLiga leaders struggling financially in recent years.
According to Get Frans Voetbalnieuws, in the past are all interested in his services, such as West Ham, Arsenal and Liverpool.
