Le Parisien understands that Dayot Upamecano (26) will probably miss the upcoming UEFA Nations League semi-final of France against Spain when the two teams meet in Stuttgart on 5 June.
The Defender of Bayern Munich has been excluded since he returned from international duty at the end of March. The defender had played against Croatia for the full 120 minutes and even scored the winning goal to set up the semi-final meeting with Spain, but on his return, tests revealed that he had loose bodies in his knee.
Bayern was convinced that, after successful arthroscopic surgery, the middle back would be back before the end of the season. However, it still has to be included in a MatchDay team.
Le Parisien writes that time is going for Upamecano to recover before Didier Deschamps announces his team list on 21 May. If France beats Spain, they play Italy or Germany in the final in Munich in Munich on 8 June.
