Barcelona finally seems to get the best from Frenkie de Jong. Although it has only been maintained for two months in which the Dutchman looked a fluent part of the Hansi film system, it is undoubtedly the best he looked into a Barcelona shirt. Months after what looked like an inevitable departure this summer, his future might be in the Catalan capital.
The Blaugrana reportedly offered him a new deal that will keep his salary at the same level, and both parties like to extend what is now a six -year -old stay in the club. De Jong has only had a year on his contract this summer and if they cannot reach an agreement, Barcelona will probably still try to sell him.
His recent form seems to have convinced many that he finds at least the form that his promise suggested when he left Ajax.
