Barcelona have been involved in negotiations to sign Bayer Leverkusen centre-back Jonathan Tah in recent weeks, and it appears they have convinced him to join the club. Tah's contract expires next summer and he can sign a pre-contract to join for free next week.
Tah has attracted interest from Real Madrid and Bayern Munich are the other top contenders for his signature after attempting to sign him last summer. Bayern are the only side that can make a bid to surpass Barcelona's financial package, but MD say Tah has made the decision to sign for the Catalan giants.
Although he has not yet signed his deal and his camp insists his final decision has not yet been made, the Blaugrana are already planning his arrival – which will see them try to organize a move for Eric Garcia and Andreas Christensen next summer.
The German international knows Hansi Flick from their time together at Die Mannschaft and was a regular at Bayer Leverkusen under Xabi Alonso. This season he has made 25 appearances and scored twice, and has not missed a single minute of action in the Bundesliga or Champions League.
