Fermin has had a promising two seasons in the first team of Barcelona since breaking through in the summer of 2023. Despite being regularly as an impactsub, the 22-year-old midfielder has delivered 19 goals and nine assists in 88 performances for the Catalan side. However, there have been rumors that this would not be enough to save him from a possible exit.
Barcelona has an overcrowding in midfield, which will only be made worse when a left wing player is connected to this moment is expected to move Raphinha in the field, so that Fermin drops the pecking order. As such, reports have emerged that it could be sold this summer, but these have now been destroyed.

It will be difficult for Barcelona to complete the sale needed to get a return to 1: 1 rule, but it is also smart for Fermin to stay. He is a differential option for Flick, as he shown in the first team during his first two years.
