Declan Rice has unveiled a hilarious story about goalkeeper Rihards Matrevics in Latvia.
England will continue their World Cup qualifying rack on Monday when they compete against the European Minnows in Wembley.
Rice will reunite with Matrevics, nicknamed 'King Kong', after he had played next to the Shotstopper at the Academy of West Ham.
And the Arsenal midfielder told a story about when the gigantic 6ft7 goalkeeper blew away his teammates.
'When he starts tomorrow, you will see that he is about 7ft 5! He's so long. To be honest, I don't lie, he's so long, “said Rice.
“I remember him when he came to West Ham, it was like” Wow, this guy is a beast “. And he couldn't speak much English then, but towards the end it was incredible.
'We had a lot of free time and we would eat some food and go to Nandos in Romford, because we stayed in Essex, and he should dive to get under the door.
“He was such a good guy. I am really looking forward to see him tomorrow, because it was a long time ago. '
Matrevics left West Ham to join Barnet in 2018 without gaining a first team for the Hammers.
He then moved to Non League with Hendon and St. Albans City before returning to his native Latvia in 2021.
