Khabib Nurmagomedov has resurfaced his feud with Conor McGregor this week, rocking the Irish star with a rant about the state of his country's MMA.
Earlier this week, during a preview of the upcoming Bellator lightweight title fight between his cousin Usman Nurmagomedov and Paul Hughes, the Dagestani lambasted the state of Irish MMA.
Khabib Nurmagomedov obviously has a lot of history, with not only being the biggest Irish star in combat sports history, but also one of the biggest stars in general, Conor McGregor.
In 2018, 'The Notorious' Irishman and 'The Eagle' from Russia began what will go down in history as one of the greatest rivalries ever when they fought at UFC 229, with Nurmagomedov defeating McGregor in the fourth round.

Khabib Nurmagomedov shares a video of Conor McGregor in response
Following Khabib's comments about the state of Irish MMA, former UFC star Darren Till jumped to Ireland's defense, claiming that Ireland is actually ahead because Ireland is smaller than Russia.
Despite this, fans were quick to attack Till and let him know that the area of Dagestan is in fact smaller than Ireland.
McGregor then caught wind of Khabib's words and took to social media to share a video in response, which was a montage of the 'McGregor UFC era' compared to the 'Dagestan UFC era', mocking them for their wrestling heavy fighting style.
While the rivalry still seemed to be at the boiling point, Khabib decided to share a video of his own. The montage begins with McGregor uttering the famous words, “We're not here to participate, we're here to take over.”
It then cuts to Khabib utterly brutalizing him with ground-and-pound during their UFC 229 meeting before cutting to footage of several dominant Dagestani fighters, including Islam Makhachev, Magomed Ankalaev and Umar Nurmagomedov.
Nurmagomedov captioned the video on his Instagram Story: “He spoke and we came and put actions before words.”
Is there any chance that McGregor and Nurmagomedov could clash again?
Although 'The Eagle' retired from MMA while he was at the top of his game, he is still very involved in the sport as he coaches several fighters.
When the Bellator lightweight title fight between Nurmagomedov and Hughes was announced, Hughes offered McGregor the chance to be part of his corner team for the fight, knowing that Khabib is part of Usman's.
At the time, McGregor told Hughes he would 'be there if anything happened', but he could now take the opportunity if he gets it. The fight will take place in Dubai on January 25.
