Deiveson Figueiredo breaks silence with first remarks after nasty leg injury halts UFC Des Moines headliner

Former UFC Flightweight Champion Deiveson Figueiredo suffered more than a loss at UFC des Moines.

Defeiveson Figueired's offer to return to the Bantamweight Title Mix at UFC des Moines was short of Cory Sandhagen. After a back and forth first round, in which Figueiredo Sandhagen had in a short problems on the floor, Sandhagen turned the tide in round 2.

After reaching a dominant position on the ground, Sandhagen landed brutal ground and pounds before Figueiredo tapped at strikes because of an apparent leg injury in the stock markets. His team had to wear Figueiredo after loss from the cage, indicating a potential serious injury that could postpone his bantam weight for an indefinite period of time.

Although the status of Figueiredo remains uncertain, the former flight weight holder remains in a good mood despite the setback at UFC des Moines.

DEIVESON FIGUIREDO breaks social media silence after UFC des Moines injury

For the first time in the career of Figueiredo, he lost back-to-back fights, after a defeat for former Bantamweight Champ Petr Yan on UFC Macau last year. Figueiredo won his first three Bantam weight onions after making the full-time relocation of flight weight after a tetralogy loss to Brandon Moreno on UFC 283.

After back-to-back setbacks, FigueIredo is in a difficult place in the Bantamweight Division mix. But while he starts recovering from his non -specific leg injury, FigueIredo gave an encouraging update about what the next one is for his career.

In a recent Instagram post, Figueiredo addressed his followers after UFC des Moines.

“The result is not always what we want, but the fight continues,” said FigueIredo.

“I thank God, my family, my team and you who support, support and believe in me.

“We are going back stronger. I am a warrior and this is just another chapter of my story!”

Figueiredo wants to reclaim the form that made him one of the best pound-for-pound hunters in the world during his several flight weight stints. He won recent victories over Cody Garbrandt and Marlon Vera for Katapult in the Bantamweight title photo.

Before the full-time switch to Bantam weight, and three winless outings against Moreno, Figueiredo ran through some of the best UFC flying weights. He earned earlier victories over Alexandre Pantoja, Tim Elliott and Joseph Benavidez to signal a new era in the Division of 125 LB.

UFC des Moines star addresses pension talk after one -sided defeat

Figueiredo was not the only experienced star that ran a disappointing setback at UFC des Moines. Former UFC Ladies Bantamweight Champion Miesha Tate, who returned to UFC des Moines after a 17 -month interruption, lost to Yana Santos through unanimous decision about the Prelims.

In the midst of pension speculation, Tate did not do much to suppress questions about her fighting futs, because she published a vague explanation after the fight after UFC des Moines. At the moment it is uncertain whether Tate will fight or choose to hang the gloves.

UFC Strawweight Competter Marina Rodriguez announced her retirement at UFC des Moines after a TKO loss for Gillian Robertson. Rodriguez defeated Mackenzie Dern, Yan Xiaonan and Michelle Waterson-Gomez during his UFC career.

We will continue to inform you of the status of Figueiredo and Tate as new information surfaces.
