The former midfielder of Tottenham and Everton was shown red in the second half of Como's defeat in AC Milan for cutting the ankle of Rossonero Ace Ruben Loftus-Cheek.
After he had not appeared on a throw for two years, Alli could only see the positive side of things this morning.
He posted on social media: “2 years! Not necessary how I planned it, but we keep moving.”
He added: “I would always have announced my return somehow after the last 2 years, would rather have had it with a goal, but it feels good to be back.”
Alli also revealed a text exchange with the former Chelsea midfielder Loftus-Cheek immediately after the game.
“Pic looks bad, I just tried to cut your heel. When the referee went to VAR, I didn't even know it was for me.”
The former midfielder of Chelsea replied: “Bro I had no idea. I stayed down because I was blowing.”
