Everton is talking to sign Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall from Chelsea after having rejected a second bid for Southampton-wing player Tyler Dibbling.
A new No 8 is a priority for Everton -Baas David Moyes together with a defensive midfielder, with Leicester's Wilfried Ndidi that they like.
Dewsbury-Hall only came to Chelsea at Chelsea last summer and had impressed the Leicester championship campaign, but struggled for minutes at Stamford Bridge.
Everton's offer for DIBLING was supposed to be worth an initial £ 35 million plus £ 8 million in add-ons, a considerable increase in relation to their opening bid of approximately £ 27 million.
Earlier in the year, Southampton had claimed that they would only be willing to sell the 19-year-old for £ 100 million, but their appreciation is considered £ 45 million.
It is still to be seen whether Everton will follow a different bid for Dibling, with Lyon's Malick Fofana another winger of them.
Dibling has left for another two years to his current contract with St Mary's and Aston Villa, Chelsea, Tottenham and RB Leipzig have all shown interest in him earlier.
Moyes: Everton not ready for a new season – we need signing sessions
Last week Moyes admitted that the club is “not ready” to start the season due to a lack of signing sessions.
“We are not ready to perform well enough in this tournament. We are not ready to start the Premier League season,” said Moyes.
'I'm not worried too much [by the results] Because I don't have the players I need and what I want. And clearly, we are against it from the start. We knew before we came [to the US] We would really rise. So it would never be that we come here and win [games].
“I think our attacking game has been really bad at the moment. I think we have not created enough opportunities.
“I think the way we are playing in that area of the field at the moment has really been under par. But we have made individual mistakes that have also shown us for that.”
Everton closed their Premier League Summer Series with a 2-2 draw with Man Utd on Sunday.
