Jake Paul has thoughts on how much Jon Jones should covet in the ongoing negotiations to fight Tom Aspinall in 2025.
UFC heavyweight champion Jon Jones and interim titleholder Tom Aspinall could potentially meet inside the Octagon in 2025. Jones recently defended the lineal title by finishing Stipe Miocic at UFC 309 last month.
Immediately following UFC 309, attention turned to potentially making the highly publicized fight between Jones and Aspinall. UFC CEO Dana White is calling it the biggest heavyweight fight in the promotion's history and possibly Jones' toughest test in the Octagon yet.
White recently guaranteed that Jones vs. Aspinall will take place in 2025, despite ongoing contract negotiations. The negotiations between Jones, White and the UFC appear to be the only speed bump preventing the fight from being booked.
Many analysts, including UFC play-by-play man Jon Anik, are speculating that Jones could command a record-breaking payday for a fight with Aspinall. Jake Paul, who has a history with White and the promotion, detailed what he believes Jones deserves in the negotiations.

Jake Paul is giving an eight-figure UFC guarantee for Jon Jones to fight Tom Aspinall
In a recent post to X, Paul gave his analysis of how much money Jones should covet in the ongoing UFC negotiations.
“I did my math. Understand their hope to make Jon Jones lose so they can create the next man. So…” Paul began.
“Bones should get a $50 million guarantee for that fight. And $10 for every PPV purchase over 600,000.
“If they offer that to Jon, that's fair. He should take it.”
By comparison, Anik threw $20-$25 million for Jones to make the Aspinall fight happen. At the time of writing, Jones has not revealed his desired figure for a return to the Octagon in 2025.
Jones and the UFC failed to reach an agreement in 2021 amid talks about a showdown with then-heavyweight titleholder Francis Ngannou for a superfight. Jones finally returned to the cage last year and won the vacant title from Ciryl Gane at UFC 285.
In a possible negotiating tactic, Jones pitched two alternative opponents for his next fight, including a possible superfight against Alex Pereira. White says he wants Jones vs. Pereira won't book unless Jones beats Aspinall to unify the heavyweight belts.

Aspinall earned the interim heavyweight belt after Jones withdrew from UFC 295 due to injury. He knocked out Sergei Pavlovich on short notice before finishing Curtis Blaydes in a rare interim title defense at UFC 304.
Jones is arguably the greatest UFC fighter of all time after a legendary run in the Octagon. But that title could potentially change if he fails to get past Aspinall in their expected clash.
Despite his success in boxing, Paul continues to keep a close eye on the UFC's business dealings, especially White and the matchmakers. Only time will tell if Paul's financial crisis will materialize at the UFC negotiating table.
