Unrogent light heavyweight boxing champion Dmitry Bivol believes that a street fight with Khabib Nurmagomedov would not last long.
Dmitry Bivol and Khabib Nurmagomedov are two of the largest combat sports athletes who have come from Russia in recent years. The two Vecht dynamos dominated most of their career opponents, except for the controversial loss of Bivol for Artur Beterbiev in October.
MMA and Boxing are two unique combat sports disciplines. While Bivol has a clear advantage with its striking, Nurmagomedov is perhaps the biggest wrestler who ever competes in the cage.
If Bivol and Nurmagomedov participated in a street fight, Bivol acknowledges that it would be difficult to imagine that things are going well in his favor.

Dmitry Bivol makes a surprising recognition about a fantasy fight with Khabib Nurmagomedov
During a recent interview, Bivol was asked how he would match against Nurmagomedov in a non-battling fight.
'[LAUGHS] To be honest, MMA is closer to a street fight. It makes no sense to hide it, “recognized Bivol.
For Nurmagomedov, Conor McGregor is the only person with whom he would be willing to cope with a street fight. Nurmagomedov and McGregor had one of the darkest structure of a UFC fight in combat history, for the entry of Nurmagomedov on UFC 229.
As far as Bivol was concerned, he had had a warm structure for most of his fights during his illustrious career in the ring. His rivalry with Beterbieving was closest to becoming personal for Bivol, and a trilogy fight between the two parties seems inevitable after their recent Instant Classic Rematch.
Khabib Nurmagomedov is approaching the potential MMA coaching pension
Nurmagomedov started as an MMA coach since he withdrew from fighting in 2020. He dropped the gloves after a successful lightweight defending defense against Justin Gaethje on UFC 254.
Since then, Nurmagomedov has advised some of the top talents in MMA, including UFC Lichtweight Champion Islam Makhachev and his cousin Umar. But Nurmagomedov could possibly be coaching in his last months.
Nurmagomedov acknowledged that when his current under studies are ready, he runs away from coaching without looking back. It is a surprising admission given the rapid climb of Nurmagomedov as one of the biggest coaches in combat sports.
Nurmagomedov insisted on his one -off rival Tony Ferguson to retire after the loss of Ferguson against Michael Chiesa. Nurmagomedov and Ferguson were planned to fight several times in their career, but in a bizarre turn of fate, the fight never flourished because of various problems.
In the meantime, Bivol remains in his physical prime and seems to be up to prevent David Benavidez or Beterbiev for his next undisputed defending defense. Bivol and Nurmagomedov seem warm, and a potential street fight is nothing more than a fantasy.
