DO: Real Madrid activate Huijsen release clause, in process of finalising deal

Real Madrid has activated the release clause in Dean Huijsen's contract and is working on completing a deal to sign the Defender of Bournemouth.

The representatives of the player are now in Madrid, with discussions about personal conditions – including contract length – at an advanced stage.

In principle, the clubs have an agreement on a structure to pay the price of £ 50 million ($ 64.8 million) in three episodes and Madrid works to quickly conclude the situation.

They want Huijsen to be part of their team for the club World Cup, which will start in the United States next month.

Chelsea had previously asked about the 20-year-old, while Liverpool and Arsenal were also interested, together with Newcastle United and Tottenham Hotspur.

Huijsen came to Bournemouth at Bournemouth in July 2024 for € 15 million (£ 12.6 million) from the Side Juventus Serie, with a six -year -old deal. He enjoyed a successful season on the south coast, 34 performances in all competitions and scored three goals.

Earlier this year, the Center-Back received its first call-up to the Spanish national team, after he had represented the Netherlands at youth level.

After he had come through the Juventus reserve team, Juventus Next Gen, Huijsen only appeared for the senior side and released the second half of the 2023-24 season in Roma, where he played 14 times and scored twice.

Huijsen will be Madrid's second summer drawing and join the club with Trent Alexander-Arnold. The right back announced that he would leave Liverpool this summer at the expiry of his contract and is expected to join Madrid to a free transfer.

Madrid has moved to tackle their defense after an injury -driven campaign at the back. Dani Carvajal and Eder Militao are both sidelined with wounded for the front cruciate ligament (ACL), while David Alaba and Antonio Rudiger, both 32, recently undergone an operation that ended their domestic seasons.
