Barcelona will start their 2025-26 LA Liga campaign against Mallorca in two weeks, but they still have to register their new signing sessions-, if some players signed new contracts during the low season.
At this stage it is difficult for Barcelona to have Marcus Rashford and Wojciech Szczesny for the trip to son Moix, but in the case of Joan Garcia there is perhaps more confidence and this is due to Marc-Andre ter Stegen.
Ter Stegen underwent an operation on a back problem earlier this week, and although he himself stated that he will be out for three months, Barcelona believes that he will be at least four absent than he could be registered, with 80% of his salary that can be used to register Garcia.
But even if they don't win their race with La Liga, Joan Laporta, president of Barcelona, has sure that Garcia and Co before the end of the summer, according to MD.
“It's going well. It is better to do the work and not to broadcast it. We do our work and we are convinced that we can register everyone. (Joan Garcia's registration) is not dependent on Ter Stegen's absence. What happens is that, through the withdrawal of Ter Stegen, it is the most direct way to make the registration.”
Ter Stegen's decision to release a statement in which he claimed that he will be back in three months, did not go well at all in Barcelona, in which a number of club officials who now rolled up to be stripped of the 33-year-old of his position as the first chord captain.
