Domino's Pizza leads to a light -hearted puncture in the long -term trophy -dried by Tottenham Hotspur prior to the Europa League final.
Outside Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, the pizza chain has unveiled a live billboard with the astonishing number of pizzas that has been delivered in the UK and Ireland since the last trophy winning.
The digital billboard shows a total of more than 1.5 billion pizzas, a quantity that is sufficient to cover the home of Tottenham almost 26,000 times.
This playful memory marks 17 years, two months and 24 days (or 6,279 days) since the team claimed a big prize for the last time – the 2008 League Cup – after beating Chelsea 2-1.
The spokesperson for a Domino noticed: “We don't take a party, but if Spurs deliver in Bilbao, we will be happy to set the counter to zero.”
The spokesperson added: “We always deliver – now it is their turn to do the same in the final.” With a nod to Spurs manager Ange Postecoglou, they concluded: “And of course all eyes are aimed at ange … not busy, size.”
