Match report
Dortmund parted ways with coach Nuri Sahin on Wednesday, a day after their 2-1 Champions League loss to Bologna, appointing youth coach Tullberg for the match against Werder on Saturday.
In an eventful debut for the Dane, the hosts suffered an early setback when Felix Nmecha was injured and things got worse when defender Nico Schlotterbeck was sent off with a red card in the 20th.
But Dortmund striker Serhou Guirassy went in from close range in the 28th minute to put them in control.
The Guinea International also had a hand in their second goal when Werder's Marco Friedl turned his cutback into his own goal in the 51st.
However, the visitors were given far too much space and pulled a goal back through Leonardo Bittencourt in the 65th.
Marvin Duksch completed the comeback with a good finish and Werder still had plenty of chances for a winner, with Dortmund desperately hanging on to the point.
Dortmund are in 10th place on 26 points, while Bremen is one point better off in eighth place.

Data debrief: Dortmund throw away two points
Dortmund may have snapped a four-match losing streak in all competitions, which proved the end for Sahin, but they are now winless in four in the Bundesliga – their longest streak since December 2023.
BVB are now 11 points away from gaining positions in the Bundesliga this term – only Wolfsburg and Bayer Leverkusen (both 13) have fallen more.
On the other hand, the nine points that Bremen have saved from a losing position are the highest return in the Bundesliga this campaign.
