Real Madrid will be for the Copa del Rey semi-final first leg in Anoeta without a significant part of their starting line-up against Real Sociedad. The headliner of that list is none other than Star Forward Kylian Mbappe.
According to Diario AS, Mbappe is a doubt for Los Blancos after a small operation to extract a molars, he failed the training on Tuesday prior to the collision. If he does not return to the line-up, Carlo Ancelotti does not have a shortage of options, with Endrick Felipe, Brahim Diaz and Arda Guler all contenders to play next to Rodrygo and Vinicius Junior.
On the other side of the field, star goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois is a confirmed absence for Los Blancos. Courtois, who has suffered from various problems with injuries in recent seasons, will be left in Madrid for the trip, where Andriy Lunin continues as their goalkeeper of Copa del Rey.
In the meantime, Fede Valverde is also excluded for Real Madrid, after the decision has been made to let the Uruguayan rest. Valverde played on right back, and good, but played against Manchester City with discomfort and painkillers last week, although that was not noticeable. Lucas Vazquez played against Girona last weekend and is expected to continue against La Real there.
In midfield, Aurelien Tchouameni probably accompanies Dani Ceballos, with Jude Bellingham also back in the line-up. The English star is not suspended for the Copa del Rey Clash, while he is prohibited in both La Liga and the Champions League.
The Txuri Urdin has some of their own problems for their semi-final at Anoeta. Central defender Nayef Aguerd was injured during their victory over Leganes, and will be absent and join Luka Sucic on the sidelines. Arsen Zakharyan is also a doubt after he was also injured, but Sheraldo Becker, Hamari Traore and Igor Zubeldia were able to return.
