Dricus Du Plessis is generally considered one of the most unique hunters in the UFC history because of his unorthodox fighting style.
In just a few weeks, Dricus Du Persis looks his middleweight title for the third time when he takes on Khamzat Chimaev in the UFC 319 Main Event in Chicago.
This is a matchup 'Still Knocks' that has called several times during his title line, despite the fact that Chimaev is generally considered by far his most difficult fight so far.
In anticipation of their collision, Du Plessis has credited Israel Adesanya as his most difficult test so far, with 'Borz' and 'The Last Stylebender' who have completely different fighting styles.

Du Plessis explains why 'controversial' fighting style will be super power at UFC 319
During his career, Du Plessis has had to deal with various criticism of his unique fighting style and at one point even Joe Rogan expressed his concern about his fighting style.
Nevertheless, Du Plessis has continued to show clear improvements in his play with every outing and has proven that beating him is not an easy task.
Former opponent of the South African, Robert Whittaker has claimed that when Du Plessis finally loses in the UFC, this will be because of an error he makes because of his unique style.
For his collision against the Chechen, however, Du Plessis explained why his 'controversial' fighting style is super power and will stay on UFC 319.
“I am the underdog, I have been the underdog for most of my career, but I am the champion. The chance cannot fight and for me I believe 100% that this is the best opponent I have confronted so far,” Du Plessis admitted in an interview with Fox Chicago.
“With my style that is a very controversial style in the UFC, unlike everything most people have ever seen, it is only an advantage because it is proven to be effective, but again, how do you prepare, how do you find someone to mimic it and at the end of the day that is my niche.
“It is almost impossible to prepare for me, because where do you find someone to simulate it?” Du Plessis continued.
Chimaev in a better training routine for UFC 319
Since this title fight was announced, there have been fears under the fan base that Chimaev would eventually pull out of the fight, given his track record.
Nevertheless, according to Arman Tsarukyan, who has been a large part of his training camp, he has been following much more serious training since he reversed with his former coach and has a good training regime.
During his career in the UFC, it is said that Chimaev has arranged his body too much, which has led to health complications several times.
