Caio Borralho believes that he knows why Dricus du Plessis vs Khamzat Chimaev has continued.

The UFC Middleweight Champion was expected to defend his belt on UFC 317 on 28 June.

However, veteran MMA journalist Kevin Iole recently claimed that Dricus Du Plessis was injured and is therefore unable to face the 14-0 Russian competition during the International Vecht Week.

Khamzat Chimaev gave a response of four words to the rumors that apparently confirmed that his first title fight had collapsed but there is no definitive update of UFC boss Dana White.

Caio Borralho claims that Dricus Du Persis was seriously injured

Du Plessis responded to the X-rated DIGs of Chimaev and hinted that rumors in the injury were true.

However, 'DDP' has not clarified which ailment he has to do with or how long he expects to have to put offside.

Caio Borralho says he has heard that Du Plessis has broken his shin and will be out for six months.

“About 5 days ago I came from a reliable source that Dricus was injured, but nothing was confirmed,” he said in Portuguese during an interview with AG Fight.

“Then Khamzat himself posted:” This guy is complete s -“then I saw it, I think they have confirmed the injury and this fight won't happen.

“Nobody wants to fight against Khamzat, I think he is the man I have to beat and it will not be denying for anyone who is the true champion of the category. So I made myself available, called the UFC, said I wanted the fight that it could be on June 28, that I was already training.

“So I started posting on Twitter and I think this fight will only happen if it is for the interim belt. If it is not for the interim belt, I think Khamzat will not accept it itself.

“And I also heard from another source, a little closer to the camp of Dricus, that it was a more serious injury … He broke his shin or something, he will be out of six months.

“That would make it easier for the UFC to turn on the interim belt. So I am waiting for that. I am very excited.”

Chimaev responded to Borralho's call by placing an image of him who choked the Brazilian.

Shortly thereafter, images of Chimaev started who dominate their apparent sparring sessions to circulate online.

Borralho has now broken his silence to explain the role he previously played in the camp of Chimaev.

“The moment I went to the Khamzat training camp, I have no problem to say that I was beaten up because I helped him,” the 17-1 UFC star told Submission Radio.

“Khamzat had about 10 sparring partners, all those guys he never came to with them or became friends with them because they would kill each other in training, Khamzat would hurt them, then they should leave.

“That was far from a sparring session. That was a video of him drilling positions … He just makes fun, he knows we were training, we were filming for the UFC, we drill … I didn't even defend the Takedown.”
