Dricus du Plessis predicted for future heavyweight move by former contender ahead of UFC 319 return

A former heavyweight wants to see Dricus du Plessis rise two weight classes after UFC 319.

UFC Middleweight Champion Dric Du Plessis is perhaps the most difficult test of his middleweight title line on UFC 319. Du Plessis and undefeated competition Khamzat Chimaev Kopt a stacked map in Chicago, in Chimaev's long -awaited title shot.

Du Plessis did not fight above the middleweight limit in his MMA career and fights as low as 170 pounds while giving experience in South Africa. His recent victories on the will of Israel Adesanya and Sean Strickland have put the stock of du Plessis in the middleweight goat conversation.

UFC commentator Joe Rogan has repeatedly recommended the size of Du Plessis for the middleweight division and the title holder labeled as massive for the weight class. Another UFC analyst believes that Du Plessis can be the first hunter in the history of the promotion that wins three belts.

Brendan Schaub predicts Dricus du Plessis to fight on heavyweight after UFC 319

The return of Du Plessis to UFC 319 comes at a time in which several top stars, including Islam Makhachev and Ilia Topuria, have suggested following belts in multiple weight classes. Although the UFC is not fond of the idea that champions are fighting in different divisions, this leaves the door open for Du Plessis to follow the example.

During a recent performance on the Jaxxon -Podcast, former UFC heavyweight Brendan Schaub insisted on Du Plessis to go to his old stamping site after UFC 319.

“I think the one who wins from Khamzat and DDP, who wins that, can go for three belts,” said Schaub about Du Plessis.

Schaub then compared the physical measurements of Du Plessis and Chimaev prior to the UFC 319 and believes that a heavyweight du Plessis would be a more natural fit.

“DDP is bigger than Khamzat. So [looking at] Light heavyweight, it is probably a slightly heavyweight in a natural way, “said Schaub.” So it makes sense for DDP to go to the light weight. Heavyweight is not a piece for him.

“DDP is a big boy.”

Du Plessis was almost possible up to challenge the then UFC Light Heavyweight Champion Alex Pereira, before Pereira lost to Magomed Ankalaev on UFC 313. Pereira will return to UFC 320 next month and plagued a heavyweight movement before he finally hangs the gloves.

If Du Plessis can pass Chimaev, the South African star can make a dramatic change for his next performance in the Octagon. But a central weighter does not put much stock in Du Plessis' opportunities to act his defeat of the first career.

Middleweight Star Spotting with the opportunities of Dricus du Plessis to stop Khamzat Chimaev

UFC Middleweight Shara 'Bullet' Magomedov predicted that Chimaev would walk through Du Plessis in the UFC 319 headliner. After the recent victory of Magomedov at UFC Abu Dhabi, Trolde du Plessis De Ster Middenweight on social media in a bizarre tweet.

Many predict Chimaev to dethe du Persis in their upcoming UFC 319 headliner. Chimaev, who is unbeaten in his UFC official period with middleweight victories over Robert Whittaker and Kamaru Usman, has been plagued for years as a future title holder.

But Du Plessis has a unique style that Chimaev can fit when they meet in the Octagon. He has proven that he has a great removal, a characteristic that is needed against an elite grappler such as Chimaev.

If Du Plessis Chimaev stops on UFC 319, then expect him to get the last smile against his haters, including Magomedov.
