Dustin Poirier makes morbid prediction about what would happen if he bumped into Conor McGregor

UFC star Dustin Poirier was Bot in his assessment of what would happen if he and triple rival Conor McGregor came face to face.

Dustin Poirier is potentially weeks of what he described as his UFC pension fight after a long, decorated career in the Octagon. Although an opponent is not named after Poirier's pension fight, there are various intriguing options in the mix, including potential rematches with Justin Gaethje and BMF title holder Max Holloway.

While he appears to be his return to the Octagon after a loss at UFC 302, Poirier thinks about some of his career moments of all time in the cage. His trilogy with Conor McGregor, who ended abruptly because of a McGregor -Been injury at UFC 264, is one of the first points of talks that come to mind when discussing the fighting needs of Poirier.

Despite the rivalry of Poirier and McGregor who became a warm point at UFC 257, things quickly became hostile prior to their UFC 264 trilogy. The roller coaster of their rivalry is still spoken today, especially in the midst of McGregor's constant interruption of fighting.

If Poirier and McGregor came face to face, do not expect that their interaction will absorb some respectful chatter.

Dustin Poirier brutally honest about what would happen in a Conor McGregor-Run-in

In a recent interview with Talksport, Poirier was asked if he had once buried the Hatchet with McGregor after their rebellious history.

“No, of course not,” said Poirier. “We will fight to death when I see him … I don't respect him as a man.

“As a athlete and a hunter, he has done some incredible things. He is very gifted and is that way special when it comes to fighting, but as a person? Nah. (H/T Talksport)

Poirier's anger comes from McGregor's personal attacks before and after their UFC 264 trilogy fight. McGregor called on the woman and the child of Poirier in trash with joke and threatened to kill Poirier in the cage.

A Dustin Poirier vs. Conor McGregor Tetralogy is probably off the table in the UFC

Although Poirier and McGregor will probably never meet each other again in the UFC, they may be out of the cage in the future. McGregor, who has not fought since UFC 264, has recently shown interest in boxing fights with Logan and Jake Paul.

Poirier can entertain boxing matches after he withdrew from MMA after his expected pension fight. During his long UFC career, he is considered one of the best boxers in MMA.

Things between Poirier and McGregor will probably never go in a positive direction after their vuited past. If Poirier and McGregor meet during a future UFC event, the UFC may want to have many security staff in the area.
