UFC 318 Headliner Dustin Poirier's last interview After the fight with Joe Rogan already took place.
Dustin Poirier gets a Send -Off from the hometown when he is opposed to BMF title holder Max Holloway this weekend in a trilogy on UFC 318. Poirier will end his career with a third victory over Holloway after winning their first two career -matchups.
Despite the fanfare and hype around Poirier's last fight in the Octagon, UFC 318 will have a remarkable absence in UFC commentator Joe Rogan, who spoke with Poirier after many of the highlights and lowlights of his career.

Dustin Poirier shows disappointment in the absence of Joe Rogan of UFC 318
At the moment it is uncertain why Rogan will miss his usual US Pay-Perview post alongside Daniel Cormier and Play-by-Play broadcaster Jon Anik. Rogan's void fills retired lightweight Paul Felder on the call this weekend at UFC 318.
Former UFC star Josh Thomson speculates that Rogan UFC 318 will attend as a fan while he takes the night from his UFC broadcasts. Rogan has attended various events as a fan in recent years, especially for two UFC Fight Night events in Austin, TX.
Since Poirier's UFC debut on UFC 125, he and Rogan have shared many moments together in the cage during their career with the promotion. While the absence of Rogan through the UFC broadcasts of Poirier, the UFC 318 headliner believes that the replacement of his fellow -Louisiana resident will fulfill the absence well.
During his UFC 318 Media Day press conference, Poirier weighed on missing a post-battle offset by Rogan while retiring.
“The closing of Rogan would have been cool, but also, DC, the legend he is, the Louisiana Sports Hall from Famer he is, everything he brings is great to be able to talk to him when it all is said and done,” said Poirier.
“Another Louisiana boy in New Orleans, so it's special.”
Poirier has not detailed his retirement plans as soon as he drops the gloves after UFC 318. He has shy that he might go to a coaching role, but Poirier will probably also be a growing presence on UFC broadcasts.
Regarding Rogan's next pay-per-view broadcasts, except for an unforeseen circumstance, he is expected to return to the desk for UFC 319 in Chicago next month. The map is led by a middleweight title matchup between Dricus du Plessis and Khamzat Chimaev.
Dustin Poirier predicted the pension decision after UFC 318 to reverse
Despite Poirier's UFC 318 pension, everything but in stone, not everyone is sold that this will be the last performance of Poirier in the UFC Octagon. Former UFC champion Aljamain Sterling believes that the leave of Islam Makhachev of the lightweight division can extend the career of Poirier for a fight or two longer.
After Ilia Topuria has earned the UFC light weight Riem on UFC 317, many of the best contenders of the division have an open window for a title shot. Topuria focuses later this year on a return to make his first lightweight defending defense.
Poirier says he originally asked to combat Topuria on UFC 318, before the matchmakers have crushed his request. A matchup between Poirier and Topuria would place two of the best boxers in the UFC history against each other.
