It was an extremely emotional night for the MMA world on Saturday when Dustin Poirier participated in the UFC for the last time.
On UFC 318 in Louisiana on Saturday evening, Max Holloway and Dustin Poirier clashed for the third and last time with the BMF title in the line in 'The Diamond's' last fight of his incredible career.
After he agreed to 'blessed' before the fight, in the last 10 seconds of the fight as soon as Holloway pointed to the ground, Poirier chose to go for the clinch instead.
Unfortunately for Poirier, he did not completely get his fairy -tale ending, because after five incredibly narrow rounds Holloway's hand was lifted and he became the first hunter to successfully defended the BMF title in the UFC history.
Despite the fact that, after the Louisianan had placed his gloves in the middle of the octagon, emotional tribute from the will of Jon Jones and even his former enemy Islam Makhachev came in.

Max Holloway called Dana White Na UFC 318 Snub
Although the event was a relative success, given the rise and the fact that it was put together purely for Poirier, it was not the biggest night of fighting because eight out of 14 fights went to a decision.
And although Holloway and Poirier again waged a close war, they were not fighting the night by UFC boss Dana White, who instead gave the implementing bonus to Marvin Vettori and Brendan Allen.
Because of this Holloway let smoke and after the event he called White for sniffing him and 'The Diamond'.
