Dustin Poirier to step into footsteps of controversial UFC legend
The 36-year-old believes that he is still in the prime of his career, which makes his retirement even more difficult.
And for his latest dance, Poirier will hope to set up a new career -best version, making it to beat Holloway for the interim light weight title in 2019.
With retirement on the Horizon, De Louisianan has detailed its plan in detail after retirement, and it is very similar to that of former UFC star, Donald Cerrone.
“Ah, guy, I can stream live (take steroids) and see if I can get some money from advertisements or something, maybe I should stream live that steroids after this fight,” Poirier told Shak MMA.
“Of course I have been tested almost my entire UFC career since USADA and anti-doping have entered the sport, but I am a bit of destroying people B —-, I am not going to do that 100%, but I am going to have my testosterone levels checked, I have never checked my levels and all things like that.
“I go to a doctor and check my levels and my hormones and just see where I am, I am about to be 37 years old. Now that I will not have that burden to get random drug tests at 8 o'clock in the morning, if my levels are low, I might do it,” he continued.
Dustin Poirier about his most bizarre drug experience
In his retirement, 'Cowboy' Cerrone openly started taking steroids, which caused a few problems, since he is talking about making his return to the UFC.
And for his last UFC outing, Poirier has described his most bizarre drug test experience.
“Once I bought a vehicle and signed the paperwork and they called me and they were at the gate at my house and they were like you can't get it back here, it counts like a failed test.
“They drove to the dealer and I put blood and urine at the car dealer in the office,” Poirier revealed.
