According to Beneil Dariush, Dustin Poirier will end his UFC career with a big fight.
'The Diamond' did not fight and will be champion Islam Makhachev on UFC 302 last June.
Dustin Poirier retired before he confirmed that he will return for a last UFC fight.
The 40-Fight veteran recently revealed a likely date and the 'incredible' location for the last hurray but he stopped mentioning an opponent after he insisted that it is 'only' legends for his MMA Swansong.

Dustin Poirier vs Max Holloway 3 leaked
Although fans have suggested potential opponents, it seems that the UFC has entered one.
For a long time lightweight competition Beneil Dariush believes that Max Holloway has already had that fight call.
The 35-year-old recently ditched Poirier and Holloway as potential opponents for his next fight because they should clash in the near future.
“My understanding is that Dustin Poirier and Max Holloway will fight,” Dariush told Submission Radio.
“That's what I hear. I don't know if it is 100 percent sealed and ready, but that's what I hear.
Dustin Poirier and Max Holloway's first two fights
Holloway has not fought anymore since the first KO loss of his career against Ilia Topuria ran in October.
Yet he has the BMF title he won by sleeping Justin Gaethje at UFC 300 in April 2024.
A fight for the symbolic belt is certainly logical for Poirier, who feels like his chances of destroying Holloway after he has beaten him twice in the Octagon.
The legendary duo fought for the first time at UFC 143 in January 2012, when Holloway made his promotion debut.
It was a bit of a mismatch because the 20-year-old UFC newcomer was quickly drained by his 11-1 opponent.
By the time they braked in April 2019, Holloway had become the champion of featherweight and defended his belt twice during a spectacular 13-Fight win-streak in which he defeated Jose Aldo, Charles Oliveira and Brian Ortega.
Holloway and Poirier waged war in five rounds for the interim light weight title on UFC 236.
It was close by, competitive and exciting, but Poirier eventually walked away with a unanimous decision.
Only the time will learn whether Holloway will finally get revenge or if Poirier will get the 3-0 before he retires.
