eπ, a subsidiary of Dongfeng Motor Group, has announced the launch of its first vehicle, an important step towards strengthening its position in the new energy vehicle market. The model presented is the eπ 007 sedan, which is available with advanced electric vehicle technologies, including an extended-range version (EREV) and a battery-only version (BEV).
The eπ 007 model has modest dimensions for a sedan, with a length of 4,880 mm, a width of 1,895 mm, a height of 1,460 mm and a wheelbase of 2,915 mm, and has a low aerodynamic drag coefficient, estimated at 0.209 CD.
The eπ 007 is available in four different versions, with prices starting from US$22,344, with several options available including EREV and BEV versions. All versions are equipped with lithium iron phosphate batteries.
The eπ 007 electric car with the EREV hybrid system has a 160 kW motor and 310 Nm of torque, allowing it to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 7.2 seconds. It contains a battery with a capacity of 28.39 kWh, which gives a driving distance of up to 200 km when relying solely on the battery, while the total driving range is 1,200 km.
The BEV versions of the eπ 007 are equipped with electric motors whose power varies between 160 and 200 kilowatts, and can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 6.8 to 5.8 seconds. It is equipped with batteries with a capacity between 56.83 and 70.26 kWh, giving it a driving range of 530 to 620 km.
The all-wheel drive version of the eπ 007 is equipped with a powerful electric motor of up to 400 kilowatts and a torque of up to 640 Newton meters, with a battery with a capacity of 70.26 kilowatt hours, which provides a driving range of up to 540 km.
eπ has run a limited-time promotion on BEV versions of the 007 model for customers who purchase them before April 30. This offer drops the base price to between USD 19,124 and USD 23,744.
