Real Madrid is still open to business, with less than two weeks to go until the summer transfer window is closed. There is a chance that a new midfielder will be added to the Xabi Alonso team, and if this happens, it would be almost certain that Dani Ceballos will leave.
As it looks now, Ceballos is sixth in the midfielder pecking order in the Santiago Bernabeu, behind Aurelien Tchouameni, Federico Valverde and Arda Guler, as well as injured duo Jude Bellingham and Eduardo Camavinga. Nevertheless, he is currently planning to stay and fight for his place, although that will change if there were more competition.
In recent weeks, Ceballos has been associated with a move to Saudi Aarabia, although his plan would be to stay in Europe if he leaves Real Madrid. And he will have options, with Diario as a report that he has already received offers for various Champions League clubs.
Nevertheless, the clubs in question would be a considerable disadvantage in the race to sign Ceballos, which prioritizes a return to Boyhood Club Real Betis. However, Los Verdiblancos is currently very difficult to sign the midfielder, although he is considered their dream signs alongside Manchester United Winger Antony.
With regard to the Squad options, Ceballos is very reliable for Real Madrid – and he has been in particular for the past 12 months. However, he would not be buried elsewhere in a movement to be a starter, especially because he has ambitions to be in the Spanish team for the World Cup of next summer in North America.
For now it is still to be seen whether Ceballos is leaving Real Madrid. At this stage it will only take place if a new midfielder is signed before the summer transfer window ends.
