Alexander Isak is the newest target of Liverpool in what a lucrative summer recruitment has been and Eddie Howe has spoken about the situation after the Reds had rejected their opening offer
Eddie Howe admits that he has no idea where the future of Alexander Isak is after the rejected bid of Liverpool. The Newcastle star has emerged as the next big target of the Reds of their lucrative summer recruitment.
Isak stays away from the rest of his Magpies teammates, who are in the middle of their pre-season tour through Asia, after he asked to leave St James' park. Liverpool made their first attempt to sign him earlier this week with an £ 110 million bid.
That was immediately rejected by Newcastle, who wants to go closer to £ 150 million, now with Liverpool willing to run away from a possible deal if they think it cannot be done. In the midst of the drama, Howe has given an update and said he had no contact with his star striker, while he cannot predict his immediate future.
“I know where he is, really, through the media,” said Howe in a press conference in Seoul. “From that perspective, it is difficult for me to go in any form of detail. The situation is far from ideal and is quite complex.”
With the rejected offer from Liverpool, the boss in Newcastle added: “I was informed of an offer yesterday (Friday) and that bid was rejected, all before I even heard about it.
“People back in England are dealing with the situation. I don't know what happens next. From our perspective we still support Alex in every possible way and my wish is that we see him again in a Newcastle shirt.”
When asked if Liverpool Isak's interest had restless for the new season, Howe replied: “It is difficult because you do not know what will happen from this point. We can only deal with reality. The reality is that we had a first offer from Liverpool and I believe that was rejected. Let's see what happens from this moment.
“In terms of trying to make players upset and all things like that, from my perspective, we can only talk about our behavior. We try to do things in the right way. Signing players is always complex. We just try to do what we think is good. I can't talk about other clubs, that's not for me to say.”

And although Howe has remained somewhat calm, it seems that this is not the same behind the scenes. According to Online, some claimed that Liverpool has 'tense' the Newcastle star and eventually 'bottled' a deal.
But club heads do have some sympathy for the attacker, who, according to them, is poorly advised in the midst of the transfer of furore.
