Eddie Howe will tell his Newcastle players to go after Arsenal in a 'front foot, aggressive' way when they offer in a place in the Carabao Cup final.
The Magpies boss leads 2-0 of the first stage in the Emirates Stadium and does not want his team to be on its way by protecting their benefits.
“We have to approach the game in a positive, aggressive way,” said Howe. 'Focusing too much on the score and the dynamics thereof, I don't think it is healthy for the brain. So let's attack the game on our way.
“We have to be ourselves at any time. It will be a forefoot performance and we have to involve the crowd. That combination of us and them, we have become a really powerful team.
'That is what we need, to involve all our supporters in our energy, body language and every power that we possess to involve them in the game. We have to make this a formidable environment for our opponents. '
The excitement has made way for nerves on Tyneside on the back of home reports of Bournemouth and Fulham since the first stage, but Howe said: 'What I tried to do with players is to channel those thoughts in excitement. 'It's a game that you want to be involved. I don't think we want to look at it in a different way. It is a game that we are going to try to win and I think that's the best way. '
