Hugo Ekitike joined for the first time on Thursday with his new Liverpool teammates after completing his £ 79 million switch to Anfield.
The 23-year-old striker, who signed on Wednesday from Eintracht Frankfurt for a six-year-old deal, suggested to Hong Kong to participate in Liverpool's pre-season tour through the Far East and participated in a series of training sessions.
Given the fast turnaround, it is unlikely that Ekitike will appear against AC Milan on Saturday during the preseason of Liverpool, where Darwin Nunez scored a hat trick during the 5-0 win of the Reds in Stoke before leaving the VK.
The official X account of Liverpool shared images of the Frenchman who walked on the field to meet his new teammates, and embraced manager Arne Slot before he shook hands with Andy Robertson, Conor Bradley and Harvey Elliott.
As he came to the team, Ekitike wore a bright smile on his face and cut an excited figure – make sure he says hello to each of Liverpool's team and staff.
The Liverpool package agreed to Ekitike was £ 69 million basic costs plus £ 10 million in add-ons, which are based on team and player performance.
