Eintracht Frankfurt -star Hugo Ekitike has emerged as a candidate for Manchester United while they want to add to their attacking options, but it can be a precious deal for the Red Devils to do
Manchester United will have to pay £ 60 million this summer to sign Hugo Ekitike. A striker is on the shopping list of the Red Devils all summer after a number of serious goals in the previous term.
A number of candidates are mentioned as potential recruits, but so far United has been left frustrated in their attempts to sign a new attacker. They were originally interested in a movement for Liam Delap, only for Chelsea to steam and close a deal for £ 30 million.
Viktor Gyokeres also had admirers at Old Trafford, but as it looks now, the sporty Lisbon star prefers a switch to Premier League rivals Arsenal -although they may not prefer him, in the midst of their interest in Benjamin Sesko of RB Leipzig.
That has forced United to look somewhere else, and, as reported for the first time by time, they are interested in a movement for Frankfurt Vooruit Ekitike and they can compete with Liverpool for his signature. But a deal will not be cheap.
After its excellent breakthrough season, the Bundesliga side made at least £ 60 million price tag on the Frenchman. But since they are also in no way busy to sell and have earned about £ 63 million from Omar Marmoush's move to Manchester City and have done a number of excellent things in recent windows – especially when it comes to attackers – that figure can stand up well while we go through the summer window.
Even then it might not be enough to pay big. Because Frankfurt has already warned that they can easily shun options and decide to keep Ekitike and to build it next season.
Frankfurt Chief Markus Krosche has already made it clear that they will not subject their Star activa. He said, “If the price is not good, he will just stay with us. We don't have to sell Hugo.”
“He is one of the most interesting strikers on the European market. Hugo has to decide that,” added at the end of the season. “I am glad we have him. If he decides otherwise, that is our motto: if a player develops faster than we, let him go.”
Ekitike, 22, came permanently from Paris Saint-Germain at Frankfurt last summer after a loan spell with the side. He scored 22 goals in all competitions last season.

Ironically, the young attacker has already dropped a hint about his future in the midst of interest from Man United and Liverpool. He revealed that he was once a fan of Red Devils in childhood.
In December last year he said: “My favorite club as a child was Manchester United. I always admired them.”
Away from Ekitike, Man United also chases the signing of Bryan Mbeumo. The forward Brentford has already expressed his wish to move to Old Trafford this summer, but a switch may not be easy. Tottenham is also enthusiastic, with ex-Brentford boss Thomas Frank aimed at a reunion in North London.
