Toone, 25, had a wonderful summer when she helped the English ladies team to win their second euro title in Switzerland.
The couple announced their engagement on Instagram with a collection of photos of the romantic moment.
The snaps showed the moment that Joe, 31, sat down on one knee and the question stood.
He asked the question for a cute heart -shaped flower arrangement.

The couple was accompanied by Joe's son Arlo for the moving moment.

Joe is also a football player and has played for people like Bolton, Northampton Town and Rochdale.
He is currently playing for Stalybridge Celtic in the Northern Premier League Division.
He has two children from an earlier relationship, including Arlo.
