Emery SLAMS ‘unfair’ PL fixture as Aston Villa prepare for five games in 14 days

Unai Emery has branded the Premier League list 'unfair' after the collision of Aston Villa with Liverpool had been moved for next week.

The luminaire was originally planned for March 15, but was now brought forward because Liverpool takes on Newcastle in the Carabao Cup final on that date.

Villa is stunned by the decision, because in March they only have one Premier League arms and believe that the competition for that month should have been rearranged.

Emery said: 'The schedule for next week is not logical. It's not fair. We will play many games in a row in February and not much in March.

“It's really not fair for us. It is not our job to set the schedule, but they must demand in their decisions to be honest with teams like us. '

Villa takes on Ipswich in Villa Park on Saturday, four days before the meeting with the League leaders of Arne Slot.

Three days later, Villa still has a crucial home game – against Chelsea, which will also insist on Champions League football next season in Villa Park.

The meeting with Ipswich gives Emery the chance to give a first start to Marcus Rashford and Marco Asensio, who were replacers in the second half in last week's FA Cup on the fourth round of the fourth round up Tottenham.

Emery revealed that attacker Ollie Watkins and Centrum-Back Tyrone Mings had leveled again at the training this week and the couple are expected to be available on Saturday, although Matty Cash, Pau Torres, Ezri Konsa, Amadou Onana and Ross Barkley openside Stay set.
