Shi earned a post-fight performance bonus from the UFC for her efforts against Xiaocan. She won the Road to UFC tournament strawweight championship amid a five-fight winning streak that included recent wins over Ye Dam Seo and Huaxiang Dong.

As for Xiaocan, the loss to Ming snapped an eight-fight winning streak, including successful stints in WLF MMA and Happy Elephant MMA. She earned a spot in the Road to UFC tournament championship by defeating Miki Motono in August.
